My Own Trifles Collection I

I am like I said, a hopeless romantic at heart. I love nothing more than wandering around an antique mall where there are multiple little booths filled with 'trifles'! I am always drawn to perfume bottles, boxes of any kind, old tins and feminine accessories. My late mother had an amazing collection of tiny boxes, many that had liitle sayings on them or little mirrors on the inside of the lid...memories. I would sit as a child on the loveseat in the corner of our living room and count them over and over again, opening and closing them one by one. I'd like to give you a little peak into my own small world of 'trifles' that inspire me everyday when I walk by them in my home.......
I hope they can inspire you too.......
An old perfume bottle from an Italian antique market,
a tiny vintage hand mirror, a Beatrix Potter figurine from
my childhood, a vintage cosmetic jar
 and...
a precious remnant from my late mother's box collection

a tiny antique bud vase...once used to adorn the
'lady's sideof a horse drawn carriage,
a vintage perfume bottle from my collecton
and a handmade  18th century style slipper
made by an 'artigiano' in Florence.

A 'love letter envelope' made by my close friend Alessandra...

This precious pillow featuring an Edwardian woman was also
made and given to me by Alessandra.

Sweet hanging sachets...I always need beautiful scents in my life!

Alessandra again!
She outdid herself with this incredible vintage scrap embellished wreath!

Ever since I found her at an estate sale, the Duchess Georgiana Spencer
(ancestor of Princess Diana) is always in view at the top of the stairs...

My table full of 'trifles'...

I love to collect tins of all kinds....these are on my dressing table
where my children can see over them... <3

  1. Da quando sei partita, un po per la mancanza di tempo, e un po per la mancanza di te che mi ispiravi, ho perso l'abitudine di sedermi e creare...spero che la passione riprenda presto....
